J.D. Salinger
J.D. Salinger is the brilliant author of The Catcher In The Rye, Franny and Zooey, Nine Stories, and Raise High The Roofbeam, Carpenters. Salinger is Cam's favorite author, and the one who has had the most influence on his writing style, as well as his life in general.
David Sedaris
David Sedaris is an American author and master of essay and memoir. His published works include Naked, Dress Your Family In Corduroy and Denim, Me Talk Pretty One Day, and When You Are Engulfed In Flames. Sedaris makes frequent appearances on Chicago Public Radio's This American Life. For Cam, Sedaris is the Golden Mean of creative nonfiction.
Sylvia Plath
Sylvia Plath was the visionary author of The Bell Jar. She was also an accomplished poet, authoring such poems as Daddy and Metaphors. Plath ushered Cam into the world of detail, where writing isn't watered down to coddle the reader.
